What is present?
present is a social connection platform that sends you daily "presents" - personalized events or activity suggestions to do with your friends. We help you break social inertia and create authentic moments together.
How do I get started with present?
Simply download the app, create your account, and connect with friends. You'll start receiving your first present the next morning. Each present includes a suggested event or activity, time, and friends to invite. Make sure to invite your friends to join present for the best experience!
Do my friends need to have present too?
Yes! present works best when you and your friends are all on the platform. You'll receive the same presents together, making it easy to coordinate events and activities and share memories. We highly encourage you to invite your friends to join present so you can enjoy these experiences together.
Using present
How often do I receive presents?
You receive one present every morning. Each present is carefully curated based on your interests, location, and friend group to give you the perfect event or activity suggestion.
What if I don't like a present?
You can provide feedback on each present by liking or passing on it. This helps our intelligence system learn your preferences and send you better events or activities over time.
How do I share memories?
After completing a present event or activity, you can capture and share short videos called "memories" in the INSPO feed. These help inspire your friends and the present community to try new events or activities.
Can I create my own presents?
User-generated presents are coming soon! You'll be able to create custom presents with events or activities for your friends and even host your own events on present.
Privacy & Safety
Is my location data safe?
Yes. We only use location data to suggest relevant local events or activities. Your exact location is never shared with other users, and you can control location permissions in your device settings.
Who can see my memories?
When sharing memories, you can choose from three privacy options: Publicly (visible to all present users in the INSPO feed), Only from friends (visible only to your friends), or My eyes only (private to you). You can always delete memories you've shared, and we have community guidelines to ensure appropriate content.
How do I report inappropriate content?
You can report any inappropriate content or behavior directly in the app. We take all reports seriously and will investigate within 24 hours.
Technical Support
The app is crashing or not working properly
First, try closing and reopening the app. If that doesn't work, check for app updates in your device's app store. If problems persist, please contact our support team with your device model and a description of the issue. You can find more help in our Contact Support section below.
I'm not receiving presents
Make sure you have notifications enabled for present in your device settings. Also check that you have friends connected on the platform - presents are sent to groups of friends together. Note that presents are only sent to users in launched cities, so please check if your city is available.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account in the app settings under "Account Management." This will permanently remove all your data, including presents, memories, and friend connections.
